Candidate Questionnaire Overview
Our questionnaire was sent to all candidates featured in the voter guide that had an available email address.
The questions asked are:
- According to the 2020 Census, Asians are the fastest-growing minority population in Minnesota and across the nation. From your perspective, what are key issues that affect the Asian and Asian American community, and how do you plan to support, listen to, and engage with your Asian constituents?
- How has your campaign made efforts to engage with and uplift the needs of young voters ages 18-35, and if elected, how do you plan to continually civically engage and empower youth?
- Access to safe abortions is often more limited for Asians and other marginalized groups. Do you support measures to expand and protect abortion access in Minnesota? How do you plan to ensure that needed care is available, accessible, and culturally-responsive for the Asian community?
- Public and community spaces such as libraries, recreation centers, and parks serve as essential resources for Asian youth. Do you support further investment into these kinds of spaces, and how do you plan to ensure that healthy spaces for community building are accessible and available for youth?
- More than two years after the COVID-19 pandemic began, people continue to be affected by the disease. Do you have a comprehensive plan to continue combatting COVID-19? How do you plan to prevent community transmission, address the healthcare and economic needs of those who have contracted COVID-19, and support the families and communities of those affected?
