Gender Justice

AAOP has incorporated gender justice, along with an anti-capitalism lens, into our work from the very beginning. We practice gender justice through gender inclusivity by centering the most marginalized/impacted by patriarchy, transphobia, and homophobia. Femmes/womxn, queer and trans people, folks w/ disability and youth of color are at the forefront of our work.

In Spring 2019, the Gender Justice Program officially became a program at AAOP.

The Gender Justice’s focus for 2021 and beyond is reproductive health and freedom. Interns, fellows, and canvassers involved in the program will conduct PAR research on abortion access as the groundwork for advocacy.
