The candidates included in our voter guide will be those running for:
- Governor and Lieutenant Governor
- Secretary of State
- State Auditor
- Attorney General
- U.S. House of Representatives
- State Senate
- Minnesota House of Representatives
- Hennepin County Attorney
- Hennepin County Commissioner
- Ramsey County Board of Commissioners
The races we primarily focus on are those most relevant to the Asian community in Minnesota and those that cover areas in the Twin Cities Metro Area. Uncontested races are not included in the voter guide.
Candidate Profile Overview
The candidate profiles include candidates’ stances on eight policy areas that are important to our young Asian base:
- COVID-19 Safety
- Ethnic Studies
- Environment
- Guns
- LGBTQ+ Rights
- Public Safety
- Reproductive Justice
- Voting Rights
If a candidate does not directly address any of the above topics, it is not included in their profile. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order based on first name.
The policy stances are taken directly from the candidates’ websites. No language has been edited or changed. Statements on the candidates’ websites that are directed at other candidates or elected officials and blanket statements about issues are not included. Statements that are important to understanding the candidates’ stance and those that are easy to understand are prioritized.
Each candidates’ website is linked, so viewers can explore further if they wish. If you believe important information on your candidate is missing, please let us know.
Some candidates may not have a website that was able to be found. In these cases, it will be indicated that no information was found online.
