WARD 1

ANIKA BOWIE Website

Bowie aims to involve the community in making decisions that are best for them, including diversifying the St Paul Police force, establishing affordable and sustainable public housing and supporting the local economy. She wants to build power within the people to create a community where everyone’s needs are met.

LIZ DE LA TORRE Website

De La Torre prioritizes affordable housing, transportation to highlight pedestrian and cyclist safety, and improving public safety. She aims to be transparent and bring the concerns of the people to the city council. She wants to hear the barriers and needs of the community and hold the government accountable.

Thao prioritizes affordable housing, economic development and public safety for Ward 1. Wants to do this by supporting youth in schools and in the neighborhood. He ephasizes listening to the diverse community members of Ward 1 and wants to improve the economic and racial justice.

Meyers supports the socialist movement to unite and empower the working class. Wants to hold the government accountable for its actions. (Based off her website – the Militant)

LINDSEY FERRIS MARTIN Website

Martin is committed to representing the voices of her community and working on a solution for more affordable housing, as well as being an advocate for local small businesses. Martin wants to give Ward 2 their voice back.

REBECCA NOECKER Website

Noecker’s priorities are affordable housing, economic development and more investment in parks. In addition, Noecker also wants to invest more in neighborhood businesses and have more support in building trust between community members to law enforcement officers.

SHARON ANDERSON Website

Anderson is focused on informing the community about the Sharia law and how it contradicts the United States Constitution. Anderson is also focused on immigration reform and promoting more housing to communities.

WARD 3

CHRIS TOLBERT Website

Tolbert prioritizes public safety through adding more investigators and mental health specialists to the St Paul Police force, as well as creating and sustaining affordable housing and developing the workforce in St Paul. Tolbert is committed to increasing diversity and expanding opportunity for all.

PATRICIA HARTMANN Website

Hartmann is focused on bringing a new change to her community by listening to what community members have to say.

WARD 4

CHRIS HOLBROOK Website

The top priorities of Holbrook are to fix the trash system and fix the roads. He wants to create solutions without increasing property taxes further. He wants to provide creative and smart solutions to the community of Ward 4.

MITRA JALALI NELSON Website

Nelson prioritizes affordable housing and homeownership, transportation, sustainability and community first public safety. One of her projects is to re-establish the way St Paul interacts with its communities, to create more engagement and open opportunities for all. Also wants to continue making St Paul a sustainable city to address the climate.

TARRENCE ROBERTSON-BAYLESS Website Robertson-Bayless is focused on affordable housing, equal public services and access to education. He is also focused on investing in green spaces and improving the public health system.

WARD 5

AMY BRENDMOEN Website

Brendmoen prioritizes attainable housing, investment in new large-scale development and local investment such as Community Centers. She also plans to invest in body-worn cameras for law enforcement officers to wear in order to build more trust between community members and law enforcement officers. Furthermore, she strives to build new public safety training facility and increasing rec centers for community members to spend more time in.

BOB BLAKE Website

Blake wants to bring solar power to the community and more workforce training centers. He also wants to invest in housing displacement prevention in order to ensure more neighborhood safety. Promotes community centered governments, and wants to bring the voice of Ward 5 to the City Council.

JAMIE HENDRICKS Website

Hendricks prioritizes public safety, housing sustainability, more equitable funding in education and adding more resources to mental health care. She also wants to provide more tools to the community to prevent crimes from happening and clearing parking standards in order to make the community members feel more safe in public.

SUYAPA MIRANDA Website

Miranda’s priorities are housing security, increased public safety, the transit system, support to small businesses and health equity. One of her goals is to involve the community in the government, creating a transparency. She wants to ensure St Paul is a place, free from discrimination, where community members can grow, feel safe and to thrive.

WARD 6

ALEXANDER BOURNE Website

Bourne wants to embrace and implement policies that reflects the community, as well as getting rid of policies that do not represent the community.

DANIELLE SWIFT Website

Swift is a community organizer based in East Side St. Paul, focusing on organizing around housing for renters and homeowners, policy advocacy, zoning, and ordinances. She believes there should be more policies that clearly define affordable housing and that affordability levels should be based on cost burden rather than area median income.

Busuri prioritizes community restoration, affordable housing and equal opportunities for all ages. His goals for this term are to promote business opportunities to provide living wage jobs and public safety. He supports Community Oriented Policing to develop a relationship between residents and the police department.

NELSIE YANG Website

Yang wants to bring more affordable housing to her community and promote a cleaner/safer environment. She also wants to promote more weekend programs for students to attend and addressing issues concerning high rates of homeless youths. In addition, she also wants to to find more affordable public healthcare and invest in restorative justice to help transform more public safety. 

TERRI THAO Website

Thao is focused on economic development, preserving affordable housing, equitable access to public school systems for all students and more affordable healthcare. In addition, Thao is also focused on having more job-training programs for youths and building positive visibility in law enforcement officers in order to promote more neighborhood safety.

JANE PRINCE Website

Prince prioritizes affordable housing and wants to enhance the wellbeing in Saint Paul by investing in more public services such as recreation centers. Other issues that Prince supports are fixing the garbage collection system, supporting the diversity of economic development and public safety.

MARY ANNE QUIROZ Website

Quiroz prioritizes in representing her community to the government and promoting community restoration. She also wants to promote more culture and art in the education field in order to create a more successful economy. In addition, she also wants to dispatch more trained mental health professionals and social workers to respond to mental health crisis situations or calls of domestic abuse. Furthermore, she wants to hold the City of Saint Paul and the federal government accountable for separating immigrant families in Minnesota.
