Youth Action Team

Beginning Fall 2019, the Youth Action Team is a cohort of 4-5 youth between the ages of 14 through 18. The YAT meets once a week during the school year from October through May.

YAT exists as a space for youth to explore socially conscious topics and lead projects relating to their topics of interest. The aim is for youth to dive deeper into topics broadly discussed about during the Summer Youth Organizing Fellowship and to create action-oriented projects.

Topics include, but are not exclusive: disability justice, language barrier, lgbtq+ issues, mental health, educational equity, ethnic studies.
