Helen is a queer Vietnamese American woman, daughter of refugees. She was born and raised in Boston where she began her organizing work in Dorchester, MA working specifically in Vietnamese and Chinese American communities covering gentrification and civic engagement.
This summer, Helen is focusing on accessibility in Higher Education for Southeast Asian Americans in the Twin Cities.
She is currently finishing up her undergraduate at University of Massachusetts – Boston where she majors in Asian American Studies and minors in Psychology.
Marisa is a queer, mixed, Chinese woman born and raised in Oakland, California. She graduated from Pomona in 2015 with a degree in Media Studies and a concentration in Critical Studies.
She is currently focused on researching Asian Americans and homelessness: focusing on their stories and engaging with the community about resources and its accessibility.
