[SEPTEMBER 2024]
To prepare for the 2024 Presidential Elections, our dedicated zine team thoughtfully selected key topics grounded in community perspectives, conducted thorough research and crafted this design. This resource is by no means a way to influence individuals this election season. Rather, our goal is to explore the emotions and challenges surrounding this election, offering insights on how its outcomes may affect various aspects of our lives and how we can navigate and respond to these potential impacts.
[JUNE 2024]
In honor of Pride month, we wanted to dedicate this month’s zine to talk about and highlight the contributions of the LGBTQA+ community! This project aims to highlight moments in the long, painful and rich history of LGBTQA+ existence and resistance in the US and is by no means a comprehensive assessment of history. We encourage you to use this zine as a starting point to investigate and explore these themes further, we have linked several sources we used that are extensive in their dedication to LGBTQ+ history education.
[MAY 2024]
To honor and celebrate the contributions that the different AANHPI communities have brought to society, we wanted to dedicate this month’s zine towards highlighting those that have made or are on their way to making significant impacts in their communities. Throughout this zine you’ll learn about queer/trans AANHPI community leaders, local Asian businesses to support, resources for different AANHPI communities, AANHPI artists and so much more!
[APRIL 2024]
We’re excited to officially launch our zine series: Demystifying Politics, where we’ll be covering topics that are current and relevant to us and our communities. And we are thrilled that our very first one is an Earth Day Edition! 🌎🌟
We’ve diligently researched topics to share important information with you all! From small daily habits you can start to embody to work towards living a more environmentally friendly lifestyle to our planet’s biggest threat and polluters and to what local green projects the city is working to implement are just some of the things we wanted to cover.
This zine serves as a friendly reminder to our collective commitment to preserving the Earth for future generations. Together, let’s explore how each of us can make a meaningful impact and practice building a more sustainable and equitable world for all!
[MARCH 2024]
To encourage our communities to go out and vote and to feel empowered doing so, we’ve created a guide for the presidential primaries in March 2024. This covers information related to the voting process like polling locations and hours, how to register to vote, your voting rights and much more!
